- BC v1.1.1 TG v1.1.0 and a New Site -

       Got some new versions of my various tools out today, and I've also gotten a nice site directed towards them up on Counter-Map. For more information take a look.



- Batch Compiler 1.1.0 -

       A new version of Batch Compiler (1.1.0) has been completed. It features:
  • BC - Added browse buttons to -wadinclude fields.
  • BC - Added missing -hullfile paramiter.
  • BC - On clicking a checkbox with a text field beside it, the text cursor moves to the end of the text in the text box.
  • BC - Some of the Batch options start automatically clicked as your likely to use them every time.
  • BC - Fixed minor tab not tabbing glitch.
  • BCME - Entity brushes now labeled in accordance to their place in the entity. (ie. Entity 1: Brush 0, Entity 1: Brush 1 etc.)
  • BCME - Added "Go To Brush Number" form.
  • BCME - Added "Go To Line Number" command.
  • BCME - Added aditional check to map load in editor so .wads linked to like so: "/folder//wadname.wad" don't get cut of at the "//" (the edditor considered that comment before.)
  • BCME - Edited text selection of Search and Replace froms in text editor to make life esier.
  • BCME - Added new entity edit form. When in BCME, double clicking an entity in the tree will bring up a new form with all the entities properties in it. You can then edit, remove, and add whatever you want to it. This feature warrents the 1.1.0 (instead of 1.0.1).
  • BCME - Fixed minor tree view glitch.

- Lots Of Stuff... -

       Well its been ages, but here we go: First off is the Counter-Strike release of De_Mice2. The map takes part in a kitchen and is the second continuation of what is now the Mice series yada yada bla bla bla. I believe this map will actually make a pretty good CS map, there are two very distinct side and lots of middle gound. In one word, the map is huge. Some pics (they turned out a bit funny, what can i say?):

      Next we have the issue of a new front end I've created, cleverally called Batch Compiler. Pics:

      The editor has a lot of great options and features and is (I'm not just saying this cause I made it) proablly one of the best front ends out there. For more info see the main page.



- Still Alive -

       Haven't posted anything in ages, but I'm still alive and kicking. Getting close to a CS release of Mice2 and some more beta pics of various other maps. I'll have pics or something more exciting up soon as I get some time.



- QuArK Snapshot 6.3 -

       A new QuArK Snapshot has been released, its features include:
  • 'New Copy One' duplicator for making scattered copies of things, perhaps scaled, rotated etc.
  • Reworking of linear duplicator, with linear mappings working around user-specifiable group centers, and the mappings specified in terms of intuitive scale, rotate and shear properties.
  • More accurate writing of brushes in brush primitive & Valve mapversion220 formats.
  • Various bug fixes from earlier snapshots.

- Mice2 Playtest Tonight -

       Yep, its going down toight at 9PM Pacific Time. (Thats GMT Time -8h) 10PM Mountain Time, 11PM Central, 12PM Eastern, 1AM Atlantic, 5AM (I believe) in London, And Last but not least 6AM in Pairis. The map will be hosted courtasy of Sinister at 24.14.253.224:27017. You can pick the map up here (5 Megs Zipped.) It will be in Half-Life Deathmatch, hope to see you there.



- Zoners Tools 2.5.3 -

       Noticed this on QuArK's page, a new version of Zoners Tools has been released (2.5.3) The new version can be found here. Whats new:
  • (netvis) Fixed clients not exiting on unexpected disconnects from the server in some casses. (Primarily affected Linux.)
  • (hlrad) Added -nopaque switch which causes any entities with the opaque zhlt_lightflag bit set to be ignored for the compile.
  • (hlrad) Added missing -dscale help to the command line help in hlrad.


- Zoners Tools 2.5.2 -

       Been a while since I've updated, nothing special, just pointing out to all who some how missed it that v2.5.2 of Zoners tools have been released, they can be found here. Whats new:
  • (hlrad) Changed default smoothing threnshold for phong shading from 45 to 50

  • (hlrad) Fixed overrides of the values light emitting textures with multiple rad files not working properly.

  • (hlbsp) Increased MAX_WVERTS for tjunction remover, as it was sometimes running out of room to do its work.

  • (hlcsg) Fixed condition where the mixed face contents checks were not checking the last face in a brush correctly.

- Reg-To-Rat Unit Converter -

       I threw this togeather last night while waiting for Mice2 to compile. :) Its for mappers of the "Rats" mod. Takes units for objects you would normally use in a regular HL map and converts them to those you would use in a "Rat" style map. Has many preset values such as the height of a wall, door, or table. Also includes the ability to change the scale. You can download it from here.
