NEDERLANDS (NWN) - Saddam Hussein surfaced today in this county which no can find and most people misspell
The former Iraq dictator was, and still is, on the United States' Most Wanted list. Hussein is wanted for questioning, torturing, beating and publically humiliating in connection with his nearly 30 years as the absolute ruler of this Middle East nation. Speaking on condition of anonymity, senior state department officials who could not be contacted for comment so we made this up but you'll never know anyway, said "We also want to know what he did with Baghdad Bob and how he has unmitigated gall to say that the Coalition Forces were not knocking on his front door when in fact we were already in the kitchen enjoying a SPAM (tm) sandwich."
Relaxing in the studio with new band mates Jim Morrison, Elvis and Jimmy Hoffa, Hussein said he was ready to begin a new phase of his life with a career change.
"I've known Elvis and Jim for a long time. Apparently Elvis knew Jimmy from some gigs back in New Jersey. We all got together here after I relocated from Iraq and were just sitting around the pool. Jim says, 'Why don't we start a band.' Sounded great to me. I love music," Hussein said.
In fact, according to Morrison, a band had been the works for some time, but the trio was lacking a drummer.
"Saddam here, why he's a natural at beating things so he's just got to be perfect for a drummer," Presley said.
The band is called "Ruse" and is hard at work on their first album "Artifice." Morrison is lead vocals with Presley on guitar and secondary vocals. Hoffa will play an electrified floor bass.
"Yeah, I know it's not as sexy as regular electric bass, but look at me. Hell look at us. We're old. We can't jump around the stage and scream and yell. We plan to do a lot of the concert sitting on barstools like Clapton and the Eagles do these days," Hoffa said.
A worldwide tour is in the works as soon as the United States government declares war on Iran and forgets Hussein ever existed.
The group's manager is Momar Qaddfi.
