BLACK CONFEDERATES: The Forgotten Men in Gray
by Stan Armstrong
VHS Video  *  $20.00  *  Item No. 116701

Little is known about the black men, women and children who fought for the Confederacy during those four turbulent years (1861-1865). This documentary discusses the loyalty of the free men of color and slaves who labored for the southern cause. Northern abolitionist Frederick Douglass who tried to convince Abraham Lincoln to use Black troops at the start of the war. Confederate President Jefferson Davis, who knew the necessity of using blacks from the start, and the heart-warming story of the Chandler Boys - friends who fought during the war, one black, one white, both Confederates.
This documentary is a wonderful educational tool for those who are seriously interested in the truth about blacks who served in the War for Southern Independence.

INSTITUTE on the CONSTITUTION
by John Eidsmoe
  3 VHS Video Set  *  $69.00  *  Item No. 129010
  6 Audio Cassette Set  *   $40.00  *  Item No. 129011

Each Set comes with an 118 page study syllabus summarizing each 30 minute lecture.

This series of 12 brilliant lectures by scholar, professor and attorney John Eidsmoe, J.D., D., returns us to the "faith of our fathers", to the birth of the Republic, to America’s charter, the Declaration of Independence, and back to the "original intent" of the Constitution.

Eidsmoe guides us to a sharpened understanding of the "law of our land" as the 56 men who framed the Constitution intended it to be applied. He revisits the debates in convention, the debates in the State ratification conventions, the clash of federalists and anti-federalists…the balances sought, the compromises reached – all these and more are analysed.

Eidsmoe walks us through the Constitution – Article by Article, Section by Section, Amendment by Amendment…with special attention to the Bill of Rights. He lays bare the distortions, the arrogance, the political bias and purposeful abrogation’s which subvert "original intent."

This series was especially produced for home, classroom, or group study and is quite useful for civic groups. Armed with the information in this series of lectures you will be better prepared to work toward the restoration of our Constitutional Republic.

The WAR BETWEEN the STATES and the UNDEFEATED SOUTHERN TRUTH
Produced by Elliott Germain

VHS 2:10 Hours

A study of the War Between the States can be done in great depth and from many perspectives. What separates the study of this war from the study of other wars, is that when you wade through the battles, the Generals, the logistics and the usual "Civil War" rhetoric, you will uncover some very disturbing legal and moral questions that have never been answered; questions that reveal a conflict between the Constitution of the United States of America and the post-1865 Federal form of government today.

This video is produced from a Southern perspective, or more particularly, a Virginia perspective. This video reviews the popular debates surrounding the war, but also reveals rare and overlooked information concerning the lengthy and detailed instigation of this war. This video covers the New England and European influences which operated deep within the prewar South as well as within the Confederacy itself. This video ends by showing how Federal government changed American Citizenship into its present quasi-Constitutional status. Whether you have been studying the war for 30 years or 30 days, this video will give you a new perspective vital to a full understanding of the War Between the States.

MUSIC & MEMORIES of the CIVIL WAR: Bobby Horton
Produced  by: The University of Alabama Center for Public Television and Bobby Horton
VHS  1:03 Hours

Perhaps no one understands the music of the Civil War better than Bobby Horton. An acclaimed songwriter and performer who contributed to the soundtrack of Ken Burn’s THE CIVIL WAR, Bobby knows both the songs and their histories. In this program he does both and helps us to understand why, at the conclusion of the War, General Lee remarked you cannot have an army without music.

Here Horton performs 18 songs just as they might have been played around a garrison campfire during those terrible times. Selections include Dixie, Bonnie Blue Flag, The Battle Cry of Freedom, All Quiet Along the Potomac Tonight and many more. The program is hosted by Dr. Bill Foster.
